Starting off as sound engineer with Absurd Minds, Hocico and Terminal Choice and remixing songs by VNV Nation, Red Sand and Tom Wax, Kolja Trelle signed a record deal with Out of Line for his debut album under the name Soman, "Sound Pressure" which was released in 2003. This placed him within the power noise genre with artists such as Combichrist. In 2005 he released the single Unleashed which hit Number One on the German Alternative Charts (DAC). His second album "Mask" was released in 2007 by Infacted Recordings in Europe and was licensed to COP International for a North American release. The following year saw the release of his third album, "Re:Up", on Infacted and COP International. In 2008 his debut album was reissued with bonus tracks as "Sound Pressure 2.0", by Infacted Recording for Europe and Metropolis Records for North America (in 2009).
