High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Something for Rockets (EP) were an American alternative rock band out of Los Angeles, California. The band included Rami Perlman on vocals and guitar, Josh Eichenbaum on keyboards, and Barry Davis on drums. The band recently released their second, albeit final, full-length record with Blink 182 and former +44 front man Mark Hoppus helping produce. Rami Perlman, son of violin virtuoso Itzhak Perlman, met Josh Eichenbaum while attending Brown University where Eichenbaum studied computer music and composition. During this time, Perlman was writing guitar songs, and the two recorded during their senior year. The two move to LA to begin working on what would become Something For Rockets. In LA, they met Barry Davis, ex-drummer of Boston's Mori Stylez, a fusion outfit, who joined the band. After completing a self-titled 3-song EP. They were showcased by BMI as the Band of the Month. Los Angeles radio began to take notice, particularly Steve Jones at Indie 103.1. Jones started pushing the single "Might as Well" on his show Jonesy's Jukebox.
