The Emmy winner helped launch Channel 7 in July 2007. He co-anchors ABC7 Eyewitness News | HD at 6pm and 10pm. Prior to ABC7, he worked for KVHS Television from February 2002 to February 2007. From August 1999 to 2002, he was the lead anchor for KVVH Television, both in Mesquite. From 1995 to 1999, Sonny anchored at KBD Television in Beaver Dam. In 1999, he became a part of Southern Nevada television history when he was named lead anchor for KVVH's centerpiece 6pm and 10pm newscasts.
