Born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Detroit, Michigan Tayeh started dancing in college and graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts from Wayne State University in 2005. She is a guest judge and choreographer on the Fox television series So You Think You Can Dance, directing "combat jazz" and contemporary dance numbers. Tayeh has appeared in various episodes over four seasons of the Fox show, So You Think You Can Dance. She has instructed dance at the Edge Performing Arts Center, the Millenium Dance Complex, and the Tayeh Dance Company in Los Angeles, California and the Dance Studios Tour specializing in contemporary funk and progressive contact.
