An important reason for occurrence of diseases, especially those that are exogenous in nature, is the household characteristics. Members of the households that are endowed with better water and sanitation facilities generally tend to have lower incidence of diseases that are related to them. For example, occurrence of diarrhea among household members is directly linked with the use of clean water and hygiene. Over all conclusion is that higher percentage of household members have been suffered from all the diseases who have used tap, tube-well/hand pump and pucca well than those have used bottled, tankers, tank/pond, river/canal and others source of drinking water. The odds ratios show the unexpected results that who have been used tap water were more likely to be ailing than other source of water. Treated water is more helpful to control all the diseases. Study suggests that government should keen interest on safe drinking water for all sects of the population. Health education for household member which is related to water borne diseases and its control measures is utmost important.
