On April 1, 2011, the Boeing 737–300 operating the route made an emergency landing in Yuma, Arizona after a 6 ft (1.83 m) hole appeared in the top of the airplane`s fuselage above the cabin. A rapid depressurization at 34,400 ft (10,485 m) ensued and the crew performed an emergency descent.
