St. Mary Catholic Secondary School is a Canadian secondary school in Pickering, Ontario, operated by the Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB). St. Mary is located on Whites Road close to rival School Dunbarton. St. Mary Catholic Secondary School is known for its excellent sports teams, the Monarchs. Current feeder schools of St. Mary are St. Monica, St. Isaac Jogues, Our Lady of the Bay, St. Marguerite Bourgeoys, St. Elizabeth Seton, and St. Joseph in Uxbridge from which St. Mary has garnered the majority of its prime athletes. St. Mary offers a wide variety of subjects and has an extensive drama and music department. Furthermore, St Mary also has an outstanding hockey program. The school continues to be a leader in the Durham board with organizations such as Learning for Hope, a non-profitable organization, which is based at St. Mary and operates and creates a difference through the work of students and teachers alike.
