It is a type example of the "Strawberry Hill Gothic" style of architecture. Why was it called `Chopped Straw Hill`? it was called that because a coach man had owned the house before Horace Walpole. He just called it a random name, but, Horace Walpole wanted to have it as a more unusual name. He called it `Strawberry Hill Shot.` But after he died everybody called it `Strawberry Hill House.`
