The modern-style mansion was built by the project of the architect Fyodor Schechtel in 1912 and belonged to merchant Sharonov. The majolica panel decorating the frieze of the building was produced by Abramtsevo workshop based on the sketches by such renowned artists as Nicholas Roerich, Mikhail Vrubel and Viktor Vasnetsov.
