Taiji Sawada (born on July 12, 1966) is a Japanese musician and songwriter. In his professional career he has usually been referred to only by his stage name Taiji. He is primarily known for his work with the Japanese rock band X Japan, for whom he played bass on their first three albums. He left the group in 1992 and went to work with several other bands, such as Loudness and D.T.R (Dirty Trashroad).
