Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The Taiwan Confucian Temple is a Confucian temple on Nanmen Road in Tainan City, Taiwan. The Tainan Confucius Temple, also called the Scholarly Temple was built in 1665 when Cheng Ching, son of Koxinga approved of the proposal by Chief of General Staff Chen Yung-hua to construct on the present site the Temple on the right side and the National Academy(to be called "Guo Xue" hereinafter) on the left side of a hill, with both of them facing the south. On the east(left) side stood Ming-Lun Hall (Hall of Ethics), built as a place for instructors to offer lectures and cultivate intellectuals.
