In June 2008, he was arrested on computer crime charges for refusing to divulge the passwords to San Francisco's FiberWAN system to his supervisors. As of August 31, 2009, he was being held on $5 million bail. He is also accused of tampering with the network and subversively avoiding auditing checks. He was found guilty of one count of felony network tampering on April 27, 2010 by a jury.
