The film was directed by Toby Wilkins taking Takashi Shimizu`s place because of Wilkins` success with his previous film Splinter and the story instead of Stephen Susco, was written by Brad Keene. The film was released on May 12, 2009. It stars Johanna Braddy, Shawnee Smith, and Marina Sirtis with a special appearance by Matthew Knight. Despite a Direct-to-video release, it did receive a rare theatrical release in Mexico.
