This book examined the roles, contributions and the performance of African women during the African ancient civilization. By cross-examining the lives of prime Black women whose records survived the ravaged of slavery, imperialism and the wreckage of time, the book interrogates how Black women positioned themselves as political, military and spiritual leaders of their era and deduce a comparison with the present times. Through African centered paradigms, Afrocentricity, and juxtaposing robust anti-colonial and Black feminist thoughts, the book recreates systematic narratives of the past roles and assessed the performance of African women at the very height of the ancient human civilization. The book discussed the changes in sex- gender roles and relationship, and further explores why contemporary African women continues to experience so much pain in assessing positions of leadership and resources upto to the 21st century. Finally, the book reproduces measured facts, confronts blurred roles and contributions of African women and situates it at the epicentre of education.
