The Scottish usability community is an online community developed for usability professionals in Scotland in order to provide a space to share knowledge and find support. A prototype was created applying user-centred design methods. This incorporates discussion streams and functionalities identified by users’ needs research. Based on these requirements a hi-fi prototype was established applying several standard design methods prior a final version was implemented. Finally the aspects: usability, accessibility, sociability, satisfaction and acceptance were evaluated.
