AKA TWUUG, is a local Unix/Linux User Group serving the Hampton Roads area of Virginia (the seven connected cities in southeastern VA: Norfolk, Portsmouth, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Hampton, and Newport News. The group was originally founded in 1990. All UNIX and UNIX-like operating systems are discussed, including BSD's and Linux. TWUUG sponsors monthly meetings as well as a very active mailing list. Meetings are typically held on the first Thursday of each month at Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia. An informal pre-meeting dinner is usually held at a restaurant near the hospital.
