High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Tina Hobley (born 20 May 1972 in Mill Hill, London) is an English actress. Hobley was born and raised in London. Very shy as a child, Hobley was sent to speech and drama classes in an attempt to counter her introversion. At the time, she tried various other activities, as well, including Brownies and horse riding, but settled on acting. Hobley enrolled with a very strict speech and drama teacher, whom she adored and stayed with for fifteen years, before moving from there to the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. Hobley is best known for her current role as feisty ward sister Chrissie Williams in BBC medical drama Holby City. After graduating from the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, where she trained from 1990 to 1993, Hobley acquired a number of roles in a variety of notable television dramas, including Coronation Street, as Samantha Failsworth, Harbour Lights and The Bill.
