He is from Joliet, Illinois and currently resides in Los Angeles. He is active in The Killing Tree side-project band with Rise Against vocalist Tim McIlrath. He currently plays guitar on the punk "super-group" band The Falcon, though he only appeared on the original EP, not being able to attend the recording session for the band's first full length, Unicornography. He first got started into punk rock with the band called The Fidgets originally from the Joliet area. (Kevin Orland, J.R. Baranoski, Mike Compton) Todd Mohney can be seen in Rise Against's music video for Heaven Knows from Rise Against's 2003 Revolutions per Minute album.
