The album was a top seller and yielded hit singles "Sands of Time", "Automatic Pilot", and "Billy Mars". The album was produced by Masatoshi Hashiba, who also produced the successful Sadistic Mika Band for EMI at around the same time. Tokyo - New York was reissued in Japan on April 20th, 2005.
