At the age of sixteen, Williams was the youngest contestant to reach the Final 12 of Australian Idol, placing tenth in Season 6 of the reality television show.Australian Idol is a Logie Award-winning Australian singing competition, which began its first season on 27 July 2003. Part of the Idol franchise, it originated from the reality program Pop Idol created by British entertainment executive Simon Fuller. Australian Idol is televised on Channel 10, and was broadcast on Austereo Radio Network between 2005 and 2007.
