A 6'7" forward, Kerwin was taken in the 1966 NBA Draft by the San Francisco Warriors with the 3rd pick in the 5th round (43rd overall).Kerwin played on the 1967-68 Pittsburgh Pipers team that won the 1968 ABA Championship.The Centenary Gentlemen basketball team represents Centenary College, located in Shreveport, Louisiana, in NCAA Division I men's basketball competition. The "Gentlemen" nickname is exclusive to men's athletes and teams; Ladies is used for women's teams and athletes. The school's team currently competes in The Summit League. The team has never played in the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament. The Gentlemen are currently coached by Greg Gary.
