Thomas Peter Shadyac (born December 11, 1958 in Falls Church, Virginia) is an American comedian, producer, director and writer of Lebanese Christian origins from the family Chidiac. He is most famous for his partnership with comedic actor Jim Carrey.Tom graduated from J.E.B. Stuart High School in Falls Church, Virginia, in 1976. J.E.B Stuart High School was a socio-economically diverse school. At Stuart, Tom was a member of the Raiders basketball squad and was a prominently involved in a student service organization, the Key Club. Tom was exceedingly intelligent and studious, making the Junior National and National Honor Societies throughout is High School years. In both 1975 and 1976 Tom was included in Who's Who Among High School Students.
