Alzazmon, is a drummer who is mostly known for his performances in black metal/death metal bands such as Dissection, Dark Funeral, Infernal and Dawn, but has also been playing for bands/projects in a wide range of musical styles, and continuously creates and records his own compositions in his studio Monolith. He remains firm in his Satanic and Misanthropic philosophies and ideals. In late 2007 Asklund became the drummer in the Norwegian black metal band Gorgoroth.The early Norwegian black metal scene was a subcultural movement anchored in a group of Norwegian black metal enthusiasts in the early 1990s. Identified by some as a cult – "The Black Circle" or "Black Metal Inner Circle", it consisted of youths ranging from late teens to mid-twenties, most of whom gathered at the record store Helvete ("Hell") in Oslo. It is from this scene that the "Second Wave" of black metal emanated.
