High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Anthony Steven "Tony" Crane (born 8 September 1982 in Liverpool, England) is a former English footballer. He notably played as a professional for Sheffield Wednesday and Grimsby Town and was active between 1999 and 2009. His original position was in the centre of midfield, but he later became utilised as a defender. During his time with Wednesday, he was also used as a make shift striker. He went on to play for Worksop Town and Boston United before quitting football in 2008 due for several reasons one of which was his weight, but briefly returned to play for Non League Hallam in 2009.
