He was born on 28 June 1935 and educated at Lancing College and King's College, Cambridge. Ordained in 1961, his career began with a curacy at Wymondham, after which he was Vicar of Blakeney, Rural Dean of Cary and finally (before his elevation to the Episcopate) Archdeacon of Lynn. A keen botanist, Bishop Tony is married with three children.The Bishop of Lynn is an episcopal title used by a suffragan bishop of the Church of England Diocese of Norwich, in the Province of Canterbury, England. The title takes its name after the town of King's Lynn in Norfolk.
