Tony Kahn is an American award-winning broadcaster, published author, scholar and son of the blacklisted screenwriter Gordon Kahn.Kahn grew up in Los Angeles, but fled with his family to Mexico in the 1950s during the Red Scare when he was five years old. Ultimately, the family returned to the United States and Kahn graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University. Kahn also holds a masters degree in Slavic studies from Columbia University.Kahn has produced work in various media but is best known for his work in public radio. He produces and directs the WGBH program Morning Stories and hosts its podcast version. Before its cancellation, Kahn was a contributor to Minnesota Public Radio's Savvy Traveler. He serves as an alternate host and a regular correspondent to PRI's The World, where he also contributes a regular feature entitled Tony Kahn's Journal. He also is a regular panelist on linguist quiz show Says You! which airs on public radio and produced by Pipit
