Mendez performed briefly with the Houston Ballet and was an apprentice with the Harkness Ballet. He appeared often in Broadway Theatre, in shows including "Irene", "Pippin" and "Dancin".He is currently employed by the Late Show with David Letterman as a Cue Card Boy and also hosts a highly rated Internet show called the Tony Mendez Show.That closeness is apparent on many of the shows where both Tony and David are present.
