High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Trinux is a compact Linux RAM-disk distribution, that could be stored on one to three floppy disks, which include one boot disk and two supporting disks. Other add-ons could be added by hard disk drive, FTP and HTTP. Trinux is commonly used as emergency system for computers, especially to analyze network problems. An advantage of Trinux is the very low system requirements (4 MB RAM and IDE-HDD). Trinux boots from a floppy disk, USB flash drive and CD. Trinux doesn't have a graphic-based interface and is designed/conceived for prompt-accomplished system administrators. The most important Linux prompt tools are available, as well as several other safety-related software nmap, port scanners, network tools, and backup software. Trinux is freeware and available under GPL license. Trinux was developed between 1998 and 2003. Trinux's successor is Ubuntutrinux.
