Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The U.S. Army Element, Assembled Chemical Weapons Alternatives program (ACWA) is responsible for the safe destruction of chemical weapons stockpiles at the U.S. Army Pueblo Chemical Depot in Colorado and Blue Grass Army Depot in Kentucky. ACWA was originally established by the United States to test and demonstrate alternative technologies to baseline incineration for the destruction of chemical weapons. Today, the program's mission is to oversee the design, construction, systemization, testing, operation and closure of two chemical weapons destruction pilot plants – the Pueblo Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant in Colorado, and the Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant in Kentucky.
