High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The USCGC Point Brown was a cutter of the United States Coast Guard's 82 feet (25 m) Point class. She was commissioned in 1967, and decommissioned in 1991. She was homeported in Little Creek, Virginia, from 1967 to 1981. While stationed there she intercepted a pleasure craft attempting to smuggle 2.5 tons of marijuana. From 1981 to 1988 she was homeported in Oregon Inlet, NC. From 1988 to 1991 she was homeported in Atlantic Beach, NC. After a refit she was recommissionsed as the Lady B, and served as a vessel in the Coast Guard auxiliary in New York City.
