Ingram (DE-62/ADP-43), a Buckley-class destroyer escort of the United States Navy, was named in honor of Seaman George Washington Ingram (1918–1941), who was killed in action during the Japanese attack on the Hawaiian Islands. George W. Ingram was laid down on 6 February 1943 at the Bethlehem-Hingham Shipyard, Inc., in Hingham, Massachusetts; launched on 8 May 1943, sponsored by Mrs. James L. Ingram, mother of Seaman Second Class Ingram, and commissioned on 11 August 1943, with Lieutenant Commander Ernest R. Perry in command.
