High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The Valle Solar Power Station is currently under construction in the town of San Jose del Valle, in Cadiz, Spain. The power station will consist of two adjacent plants, Valle 1 and Valle 2, which will have an installed capacity of 50 MW each. Both will use SENER parabolic trough collectors creating a solar field of 510,120 square metres on a surface area of 460 hectares. Net electrical output for the installations is 175 GWh/year and each plant will be able to continue to produce electricity for seven hours without sunshine as a result of a molten salt thermal storage system. The power station is scheduled to be operational in 2011.
