VeeCee (a short name for V. Sitaramiah) was born in Boodigeri village of Bangalore district. He earned a B.A (1920) and a M.A (1922) from the Maharaja College of Mysore. He was professor at various colleges in Karnataka State and principal of Arts and Science College, Honnavar from 1964 to 1968.
