He played on Cake's first two albums, Motorcade of Generosity (1994) and Fashion Nugget (1996). Together with ex-Cake members Greg Brown and Todd Roper, and lead singer of Sacramento band Little Guilt Shrine, Dana Gumbiner, he formed the band Deathray. Previous Sacramento-based band memberships include Saturday's Child, also with Greg Brown and Todd Roper of Cake and Deathray, and Andrew Jon Thomson's early 1990s band "23", which also featured Todd Roper. Owner of La Martine floral in Downtown Sacramento with wife Kimberly La Mar-Damiani.
