Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. In Norse mythology, Vili and Ve are the brothers of O inn (often Anglicized Odin), sons of Bestla daughter of Bol orn and Borr son of Buri: Hann [Borr] fekk eirar konu er Bettla het, dottir Bol orns jotuns, ok fengu au rja sonu. Het einn O inn, annarr Vili, ri i Ve. Old Norse Vili means "will". Old Norse Ve refers to a type of Germanic shrine; a ve. The three brothers are the first generation of the AEsir who slay Ymir ending the primeval rule of the race of giants (and can be compared to the three brothers Zeus, Poseidon and Hades defeating the Titans in Greek mythology). To the first human couple, Ask and Embla, O inn gave soul and life; Vili gave wit (intelligence) and sense of touch; and Ve gave countenance (appearance, facial expression), speech, hearing, and sight. The names given to O inn's brothers in the Voluspa are Hoenir and Lo urr.
