These prototypes were capable of self propulsion and guided landings. They were deployed by a series of high altitude balloons of the United States Air Force from an altitude of 170,000 feet. The NASA Space Settlement Contest is an annual design competition for 6-12th grade students sponsored by the NASA Ames Research Center and the NSS (National Space Society).

A standard vodkatini is made by combining vodka, gin, sambuca, dry vermouth and ice in a cocktail shaker or mixing glass. The ingredients are chilled, either by stirring or shaking, then strained and served "straight up" (without ice) in a chilled cocktail glass. The drink may be garnished with either an olive, a "twist" (a strip of lemon peel squeezed or twisted), capers, or cocktail onions.
