VoKee is an alternative rock, California-based band featuring former Apex Theory vocalist and ex-System of a Down drummer, Ontronik (formerly known by the nickname "Andy"). After leaving The Apex Theory in November 2002, VoKee vocalist Ontronik began a short-lived solo project. Not finding what he was looking for musically, however, Ontronik put his solo project on an indefinite hiatus and founded VoKee in early 2004. In 2005, VoKee released a free promotional EP entitled Pre-Motional Songs at local shows and to members of the band's "Street Brigade" (promotional street team) or anyone else who e-mailed the band requesting the disc. In 2006, VoKee released another promotional disc, Riding the Walls, at shows, this time including three new songs.
