"Voorgoed voorbij" ("Over forever") was the second Dutch entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1956 - the only Contest where competing countries were permitted to enter two songs - performed in Dutch by Corry Brokken.The song is in the chanson style popular in the early years of the Contest. Brokken sings to a former lover, asking him why their relationship is "over for good". She explains that while it may have only been a brief fling to him, she took it more seriously.
