High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Born in Saint Petersburg, Kruglik studied music composition at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory under A. S. Nesterov and B. I. Tishchenko. After graduating from the the Conservatory with honours in 2001, he continued with post-graduate studies from 2001–2003.In 2005 Kruglik was a prize-winner of the Mariinsky Theatre's Russian opera composition competition with his one act opera The Carriage. The work was one of three new operas selected by the Mariinsky Theatre for performance in the summer 2009 festival, receiving its premiere at the opera house on 21 June of that year. His children's opera, Semyon. Version 1.0 (composed with Svetlana Nesterova), was a prize-winner at the 2008 composition competition at the Bolshoi Theatre.
