Wallingwells Priory was a house of Benedictine nuns founded in the 1140s by Ralph de Chevrolcourt at Wallingwells near Carlton in Lindrick, Nottinghamshire.The priory surrendered on 14 December 1539.A pension of 6 was assigned to the prioress, and the remaining nuns.At its dissolution, The Priory was valued at 59 ( 30,000 as of 2010),and was granted by Queen Elizabeth to Richard Pype and Francis Bowyer; it was later the property of Sir Thomas W. White, a county magistrate.
