As well as fighting Braga also teaches at his two academies in the United States. Braga was scheduled to fight Kurt Pellegrino on the undercard at UFC 64 and UFC Fight Night 9, but pulled out both times due to undisclosed reasons. Pellegrino went on to fight Junior Assuncao at UFC 64 and Nate Mohr at UFC Fight Night 9.
