Warren Steed Jeffs (born December 3, 1955 in San Francisco, California) was the president of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (FLDS Church) from 2002 to 2007. While president and "Prophet, Seer and Revelator" of the organization, Jeffs wielded considerable religious as well as secular power, in line with the FLDS Church's theocratic principles. He may still be considered the Prophet of the FLDS Church by some, as no certain statements have been made that he stepped aside from this position after his conviction in 2007.
