They were originally known as Ratnici (Serbian for Warriors) and changed their name to Warriors in 1983.The band was formed in 1982 by the vocalist Dusan Nikolic and Riblja Corba drummer Vicko Milatovic. The first lineup of the band also featured the guitarist Dragan Deletic, the guitarist Zoran Konjevic and the bass guitarist Slobodan Svrdlan (a former Gordi member).
