High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! William Greaves (born in New York City, October 8, 1926) is a documentary filmmaker and one of the pioneers of African-American filmmaking. He has produced over two hundred documentary films writing and directing more than half of them. Greaves has also garnered numerous award nominations and accolades for his work including four Emmy nominations, one of which he won for his work as executive producer on the African-American news program Black Journal.
