He was nominated for an Academy Award for Original Screenplay in 1962 for the film Freud. He was born in Berlin, Germany and died in Rome, Italy. A film producer or movie producer is someone who selects a screenplay, initiating the process of film making. The title Executive Producer is normally reserved for a producer with a financial interest in the production.
