Wormrot are a Singaporean grindcore band formed in 2007, right after its founding members had completed their mandatory two years of National Service. The band were discovered in late December 2009 by Digby Pearson, the owner of record label Earache, in a mixtape posted at the Invisible Oranges blog. Pearson downloaded the mixtape and while listening to the compilation, found that most bands were uninteresting until he heard the song "Born Stupid" from Wormrot.
