Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Woutersia was a triassic symmetrodont and the only representative of its family. It has been suggested that it may be ancestral to the docodonts. Its remains have been found in France. Symmetrodonta is a basal group of Mesozoic mammals characterized by the triangular aspect of the molars when viewed from above and the absence of a well-developed talonid. The traditional group of symmetrodonts ranges in age from the latest Triassic to the Late Cretaceous.
