It is based upon a 5 dimensional business framework (What, Who, Where, When and Which) and is uniquely supported by approximately 55 rules that govern the usage, "output" and "syntax" of the language. xBML enables highly consistent, complete and detailed business process models to be created, and provides a disciplined methodology to describe a business and its underlying processes.
