It was released on the MSX2 and TurboGrafx-16 platforms only in Japan. The player can select between two modes at the title screen: Recon (also known as arcade) and Scramble (also known as Fardraut), which is a new 16-area game with new enemies, new boss battles as well as the Andor Genesis, and four ships (Solvalou, Solgrado, Zeodalley, and Gampmission). On Scramble (Fardraut), when you clear all 16 areas it gives you a happy ending before the credits roll.
