Soejima is best known for his animation work on The Second Renaissance - part 2 of the Animatrix anime series spun-off from the Wachowski brothers' The Matrix trilogy from Warner Brothers, 3D direction for anime OVA Zaion: I Wish You Were Here and anime series Last Exile, and his collaborative work with Studio 4C on the anime-styled animated music video for US rock band Linkin Park's hit single ‘Breaking the Habit' which won the 2004 MTV VMA Viewers Choice Award. In addition, Soejima served as Creative Advisor for two-time Tokyo Anime Award winning OVA Yukikaze, and was Digital Director for Textile Design on anime series Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo, as well as 3D Director for computer game-based anime series Final Fantasy Unlimited.
